    This App Privacy Policy explains how the Listen Labs native mobile application ("App") handles information and protects personal information. It applies only to the native mobile app experience.     2. What the App Does

    The Listen Labs App lets participants access and complete studies created by organizations using the Listen Labs platform. The App is primarily a viewer for study content hosted on https://listenlabs.ai. It does not create a separate mobile-app account or profile.

    3. Personal Information the App Collects

    The native App is designed to collect as little personal information as possible. The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit names, email addresses, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, photos, files, messages, advertising IDs, device identifiers, browsing history, analytics events, or performance tracking data.

    The App may temporarily access device hardware only when required by a study and only after you grant the relevant operating-system permission.

    3.1 Camera Permission

    Some studies may ask you to record video. If a study requires video, the App will request camera permission. Camera access is used only to enable that study task. The native App does not store video recordings locally or use camera access for advertising, analytics, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

    3.2 Microphone Permission

    Some studies may ask you to record audio. If a study requires audio, the App will request microphone permission. Microphone access is used only to enable that study task. The native App does not store audio recordings locally or use microphone access for advertising, analytics, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

    3.3 Network Access

    The App uses network access to load study content, submit study responses, and communicate securely with Listen Labs services. Study responses are submitted through the Listen Labs website experience displayed in the App.

    4. Study Content Displayed in the App

    The App displays study content using an embedded WebView, similar to viewing a website in a browser. Information you submit within a study, such as text responses, audio or video recordings, screening answers, or contact information requested by the study creator, is processed through the Listen Labs website experience and governed by the Listen Labs Study Privacy Policy.

    Study content loaded from the Listen Labs website may use cookies or similar technologies as described in the Listen Labs Website Privacy Policy. Those technologies relate to the website experience, not separate native App tracking.

    5. How We Use Information

    Because the native App itself does not collect personal information beyond temporary permission-based hardware access, App-level use is limited to:

    • Displaying study content
    • Enabling camera or microphone study tasks when requested
    • Submitting study responses through the WebView
    • Securing communication with Listen Labs services
    • Maintaining App and platform integrity

    We do not sell personal information. We do not use App-level data for targeted advertising, cross-app tracking, profiling, or unrelated marketing.

    6. How We Share Information

    The native App itself does not collect personal data and therefore does not share separate App-collected personal data with third parties.

    Information submitted inside a study is handled under the Listen Labs Study Privacy Policy and may be shared with:

    • The organization that created or commissioned the study
    • Authorized service providers that help provide the service
    • Authorities or other parties when required by law

    The mobile App does not add additional sharing beyond this.

    7. Storage, Retention, and International Transfers

    The native App does not store personal data locally or remotely. Study data submitted through the WebView is stored and processed on Listen Labs systems and governed by the Listen Labs Study Privacy Policy.

    Listen Labs services are operated from the United States. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use safeguards required by applicable law.

    8. Your Rights and Choices

    You can deny or revoke camera and microphone permissions using your device settings. Some study tasks may not work if the required permission is denied.

    Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information. For study data you submitted, please use the instructions in the Listen Labs Study Privacy Policy or contact privacy@listenlabs.ai.

    9. Security Measures

    We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect the App and information submitted through the Listen Labs website experience, including secure communication, access controls, and monitoring.
